Yes - Subject to random drug testing per the Athens-Clarke County Drug and Alcohol Ordinance Purpose of Job The purpose of this job is to lead and conduct cleaning and maintenance inside and outside of Transit Department assigned buildings, public bus transfer facilities, bus shelters, and bus stops throughout the community. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning all transit facilities, emptying trash receptacles at all bus stops, pressure washing bus shelters, and other duties as assigned by the Operations Administrator. Job Related Requirements Work Schedule F riday, Saturday, Sunday, And Monday 8:00AM - 6:30PM (40 Hours per week) May be required to work on religious holidays. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Must work cooperatively with others. When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC's safe driving policy. Adherence to pathogen transmission prevention procedures and the utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce/eliminate exposure to pathogens and chemicals. Emergency Position This position is designated as an emergency position that requires your attendance at work under all types of emergency conditions. Some examples of emergencies include inclement weather, utility failure, fire or other forced evacuations or as determined by the Manager.

High school diploma or GED equivalent with six months in custodial or maintenance work, or closely related experience, required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license. The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Cleans and maintains the Multimodal Center and Operations and Maintenance facility on a pre-set hourly interval in compliance with the special procedures that have been developed by management to reduce the transmission of viral and bacterial infections. Disperses sanitizing agents from an electro-static sprayer on a scheduled interval and as needed during potential pathogen exposures while utilizing all of the proper PPE to protect themselves from pathogen and chemical exposure. Vacuums office areas. Cleans and maintains all restrooms; dusts, sweeps, and mops restrooms; cleans and sanitizes fixtures, replaces soap and paper products, and empties trash. Cleans facilities or sites; cleans brass and windows; cleans and sanitizes elevators; dusts hallways; removes debris and trash; cleans signage. Cleans and polishes floors and hallways. Buffs and waxes floors daily or as required. Strips and waxes floors quarterly. Inspects buildings or grounds to ensure safe and acceptable conditions. Pressure washes outside areas. Tows a trailer and equipment to all bus stops within the county to perform steam pressure washing of each stop on a scheduled interval. Maintains all pressure washing equipment which entails scheduled services, fluid checks, and light maintenance on the truck, trailer, pressure washer and detergent container. Documents each bus stop serviced and the maintenance required to keep the pressure washing equipment in a state of good repair. Supervises community service workers and completes associated paperwork. Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and picks up supplies. Assists in troubleshooting office equipment. Cleans and maintains assigned vehicle. . Operates a 2.5 ton compactor sanitation truck to remove waste from all of the bus stops in Athens Clarke County. Performs inspections and light maintenance of the sanitation truck. Completes trash can receptacle service and truck maintenance documentation in order to to track the maintenance & services completed. Cleans and pressure washes bus stop amenities and bus shelters. Drives street sweeper. Cleans parking lots and other types of paved facilities, sidewalks, etc. Performs related work as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of the Transit Department as they pertain to the performance of duties relating to the position of Facility Service Worker. Knowledge of the terminology used within the department. Knowledge of department policies, procedures, and methods as required in the performance of duties. Knowledge of the transit routes and facility locations. Knowledge of the use of machinery such as pressure washer, air compressor, generator, air gauge hoses, and the use of hand tools such as rakes, pitch forks, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members. Ability to use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations. Ability to plan, organize, and/or prioritizes daily assignments and work activities. Ability to comprehend and apply the regulations and procedures of the department. (ADA)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including a motor vehicle, Street Sweeper, Janitorial supplies and equipment, lawn mower, weed-eater, landscaping. Must be able to use body members to work, move, or carry objects or materials. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
This position requires:
stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of heavy work.

NUMERICAL APTITUDE
Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas, add and subtract totals, multiply and divide and utilize and determine percentages.
FORM/SPATIAL APTITUDE
Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape, visually.
MOTOR COORDINATION
Requires the ability to coordinate hands, fingers, and eyes accurately in using Bobcats, forklifts, pay loaders, and other similar equipment. Requires the ability to lift, bend, push, pull, manipulate equipment/tools and objects as the position necessitates.
MANUAL DEXTERITY
Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as Bobcats, forklifts, pay loaders, and hand tools. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have moderate levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
COLOR DISCRIMINATION
May require the ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color.
INTERPERSONAL TEMPERAMENT
Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under moderate stress when confronted with an emergency.
