Job Title:
Entry-Level Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description Join a growing industrial team as an entry-level mechanical maintenance technician, where you will support production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving machinery using established process improvement and preventive maintenance techniques. Responsibilities Utilize process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures to enhance equipment performance and reliability. Maximize the performance of machinery by identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment problems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform maintenance and repairs accurately. Perform preventive maintenance on stamping and other production equipment to maintain uptime and prevent failures. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical repairs and adjustments. Record, document, and report maintenance activities, equipment issues, and repair actions in an accurate and timely manner. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with facility standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work orders and support production needs. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with mechanical equipment and tools. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply mechanical maintenance concepts. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals. Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment and machinery. Experience or familiarity with hand tools and power tools in an industrial or technical setting. Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment, including stamping equipment. High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Willingness to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.) or 3rd shift (Monday-Friday, 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m.). Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical school education or training in a mechanical or industrial field is preferred. Previous experience in maintenance repair or mechanical roles is beneficial but not required. Strong mechanical inclination and interest in working with industrial equipment. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment. Comfort working in a clean, well-lit industrial facility. Why Work Here? You will work with mechanical machinery, hand tools, and power tools in a structured maintenance setting. Positions are available on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.) and 3rd shift (Monday-Friday, 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m.), providing consistent hours in a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and organization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winder, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
