We are looking for motivated team members interested in ground floor opportunity to experience the redevelopment of the hotel into one of the top destination boutique hotels in Waikiki. Goal Hawaii has a lot to offer, the weather, the beaches, the food, the mountains and most of all our people. Our goal is to offer guests a memorable experience by being their advocate during their stay in our Hotel. Summary To ensure that the guest rooms are well maintained, cleaned and ready for use by our guest at the Hotel La Croix Prerequisites Ability to receive and give instructions and respond to guest concerns in English both verbally and in writing. Possess knowledge and competency in the following: basic hand/power tool operation, ETC.
Scheduling flexibility:
all shifts and hours, which may include weekends and/or holidays. Essential Functions Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds. Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns. Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects. Report on time daily to your crew leader or supervisor; conform to dress code and safety policies. Responds to all building related safety concerns. Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures. Supports hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations. Maintain the guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. Clean and maintain pool area. Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper. Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition. Inspect public areas daily for any issues. Pool chemical testing and pool maintenance. Basic knowledge of general maintenance. Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas and administrative offices. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs. Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and consistently keep updated records on file. Secondary Functions Boiler mechanic skills. Painting at a professional level with rollers and paint sprayers, including caulking and staining.

Installing tile, vinyl and wood flooring. Able to use general power tools and other types of machinery.
  • Qualifications High school diploma, trade school or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
Specialties preferred including the following:
electrical HVAC, pool, drywall/paint/wallpaper, preventative maintenance, plumbing, landscaping, fire safety, kitchen equipment. Basic knowledge of general maintenance. Specialty in a specific building trade (electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, etc) or a specifically mechanical background. Hotel experience + Minimum 5 years of working experience in facility maintenance Physical Demands Ability to perform heavy work - exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to work in close spaces, ability to climb, occasionally work outdoors in hot weather for extended periods of time.
