Building and Grounds Assistant 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 1821 Sunset Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722 $15.50 an hour - Part-time Rivermont Collegiate 4 reviews $15.50 an hour - Part-time Job Summary Rivermont Collegiate is seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Director of Buildings and Grounds to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. Duties Open on all buildings on campus, checking the security, making visual and/or physical inspections, of all windows and doors and reporting any breeches of security to the Director of Buildings and Grounds Services. Check for light bulb replacements, including classroom lights and exit lights, check bottled water supply, and anything that might require immediate attention. Check on need for cardboard recycling and status of recycling and trash containers. Assist in maintaining mowers, snow blowers, and tools. Assist in mowing, snow removal, and general yard clean-up. Assist in set-up and tear down of the Auditorium/Cafeteria for special events. Assist Parents' Council with their activities. Work in partnership with the Director of Buildings and Grounds Services in maintaining all buildings and grounds, as needed, or directed by HOS or the Assistant HOS. Hours are 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday - Friday.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move around facilities, including walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating various workspaces. Skills to handle tolls and equipment, perform repairs, and maintenance tasks when necessary. Capability to endure long hours and physically demanding tasks, such as lifting equipment or materials. Good eyesight and the ability to hear alarms, machinery, and conversations to ensure safety and effective communication. Ability to lift and or move heavy objects, utilize a dolly, or other devices needed to move heavy objects.
