MAINTENANCE WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to help keep our facilities safe, secure, and clean. The Abbey is an excellent and healthy place to work - including for our Maintenance Team. If you don't have a lot of experience, we can help train you. The Abbey's goal is to help improve the health and happiness of our clients, and providing a safe, secure, and clean facility is an important part of that responsibility. We do NOT plan to reduce our current staff members; our Mission is growing, and we need more team members to support that growth.

MAINTENANCE WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Ensuring safe, clean, and secure status of all facilities.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinating with Management about required tasks.
• Coordinating with contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Exterior duties include landscaping.
• Interior duties include minor repairs and routine maintenance and cleaning (carpet cleaning, floor buffing, lightbulb replacement, filter changing, etc.

)

MAINTENANCE WORKER REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent work ethic.
• Commitment to safety and security.
• Prior maintenance experience helpful, but not required.
• Prior experience with common tools helpful, but not required.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience performing routine maintenance.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Eye for detail.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Strong time management skills.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Related degree from a technical college helpful, but not required.

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
