Job Description

Maintenance Assistant Silver Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Responsibilities Assist with routine building maintenance and repairs. Complete work orders in a timely manner. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general repair tasks. Assist with preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections. Maintain grounds, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas as needed. Set up and move furniture, equipment, and resident room items. Assist with safety checks and emergency preparedness activities. Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas remain clean and organized. Interact with residents, families, and staff in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner. Follow all facility safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous maintenance, construction, facilities, landscaping, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies as needed. Pay:
