Job Description

About The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association (DTA) is a comprehensive nonprofit that provides services within the Business Improvement District (BID) for the purpose of improving business in the downtown commercial area. Services include revitalization efforts, community events, marketing of small businesses, and general maintenance care and oversight of the downtown corridor. The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association is seeking a part-time seasonal maintenance worker to assist with maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of Downtown CDA, with a primary focus on watering flower baskets and supporting general cleaning efforts such as power washing.
Description:
This position plays an important role in maintaining the visual appeal of Downtown Coeur d'Alene. The primary responsibility is watering approximately 170 hanging flower baskets throughout the downtown corridor, along with occasional support for power washing sidewalks and high-traffic areas.
Job Duties:
Operate a utility vehicle to hand water approximately 170 hanging flower baskets Operate a power washer to clean City sidewalks Perform routine power washing of sidewalks Follow all safety procedures and operate equipment responsibly
Schedule:
Work timeframe is 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM from Mid May through September. Position requires 3-4 days per week (flexible scheduling for days worked) Opportunity for additional hours assisting with events or other downtown maintenance duties, if desired
Requirements:
Valid driver's license required Ability to operate a utility vehicle Comfortable lifting 15-30 lbs regularly Ability to work early mornings and independently Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions Frequent standing, walking, and light lifting Exposure to heat, cold, and wet conditions
Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary Pay:
$18.00 per hour
