Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and Repair Facilities, Systems, and Equipment Perform semi-skilled preventive and corrective maintenance across buildings, systems, and equipment. Assist skilled trades personnel with installations, replacements, and complex repair projects. Ensure all work supports a safe, efficient, and well-functioning campus environment. Inspect and Ensure Facility Safety and Compliance Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds to verify code compliance and proper maintenance. Identify and address deficiencies or safety hazards to maintain operational readiness. Support waste management and recycling operations to promote sustainability. Maintain Campus Grounds and Seasonal Operations Perform grounds care, landscaping, and general upkeep to ensure attractive and functional outdoor spaces. Provide snow removal and ice treatment services, safely operating plows and related equipment during inclement weather. Support Fleet and Contractor Operations Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for Fleet and Motor Pool vehicles; maintain service records. Schedule and track vehicle use, driver training, and documentation as assigned. Collaborate with and provide information to contractors, ensuring work meets CWI standards and expectations.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the facilities industry, performing semi-skilled preventive and corrective maintenance, repair and light construction Knowledge and understanding in use of basic hand/power tools, and tools commonly used in the maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment Ability to interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, charts, technical specifications and instructions Ability to operate vehicles, grounds equipment, snowplow, and industrial trucks. Obtain and maintain forklift operator certificate Ability to individually lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and with assistance, move and transport materials and equipment weighing in excess of 200 lbs. Ability to work in confined attic and crawl spaces Ability to climb and perform overhead work from ladders, personnel lifts and elevated platforms Ability to work outdoors in all seasons exposed to elements approx. 40% - 50% of the time Available to respond to weather, facility and system emergencies at all hours to take actions to ensure the facility is safe for occupancy and operation High school diploma or GED preferred Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver's license and clear driving record as defined by CWI policy Additional Instructions for
