Engineer Assistant

Engineering (Maintenace) Assistant Role and Responsibilities

• Minor plumbing repairs (Toilets, sinks, faucets, etc.)
• Changing light bulbs, replace batteries in s/dett's/thermostats
• Minor repairs and touch up paint
• Lifting/carrying items for homeowners
• Cleaning littler from facility (In & Out)
• Place elevator pads when needed
• Repair wheelchairs and walkers for residents
• Help with any request from the residents
• Drive bus as needed
• Assist on all/any repairs under preventative maintenance programs
• Assist on snow removal and any seasonal yard work as required
• Provide assistance to housekeeping department
• Be available on off-hours for emergency repair work.
• Assist Maintenance Director, and other duties as needed. Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High School Diploma
• Must hold a valid Driver's License
• Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, ability to get around the facility and community.
• Some up and down activity, including reaching above and below shoulder height.
• Possess good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to respond to maintenance needs of residents in friendly and competent manner.
• Ability to function as a team member, and must be upbeat and friendly.
• Basic knowledge of building infrastructure (HVAC, elevator, sprinkler system, water/plumbing, alarm and monitoring systems). Preferred Skills
