Maintenance

The Maintenance Mechanic works cooperatively with the Facility Operations Managers, Custodial and Grounds Personnel, Principals/Assistant Principals, Administrative Assistants, Teachers and Students.

Qualifications :

Shall be a qualified mechanic with a minimum of three (3) years of experience, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and ability to independently perform and complete repairs within their assigned trade or area of responsibility. The Maintenance Mechanic must be in good physical condition and pass a State Required Physical Exam. Tasks involve the ability to exert physical effort in heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects and materials up to 50 pounds independently. Maintains a valid Illinois Driver's License and obtains and maintains all required certifications and training relevant to the position, as deemed necessary by the Executive Director of Facilities.
