Maintenance Worker - Summer (temp to permanent)

Position Overview The Maintenance Worker supports the mission of Marian Central Catholic High School by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This position involves daily cleaning, facility, upkeep, light repairs, and general maintenance tasks throughout the school and surrounding grounds. Key Responsibilities Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming as needed. Perform routine maintenance and repair work such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs and minor plumbing, electrical or carpentry tasks. Set up and break down spaces for school events, assemblies and meetings. Ensure grounds and entryways are clean, safe and free from debris or snow. Organize maintenance supplies and equipment; notify the Director of Facilities when stock needs replenishing. Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and other manual tasks as requested. Follow safety procedures and maintain a secure facility. Indoor and outdoor tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications Experience in custodial, facilities, or general maintenance work preferred. Ability to perform basic repairs and safely use hand and power towels. Dependable, detail-oriented and able to work independently. Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual labor. Must successfully pass a background check.
