Job Description

Make routine carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.
Check heating, air conditioning, kitchen, laundry, and maintenance equipment for efficiency and make necessary repairs.
Install curtain rods, toilet paper and toothbrush holders, tile, screens, window glass, doors, wiring and conduits, plumbing fixtures, and other varied items.
Check and repair electrical appliances, motors, pumps, fire alarm systems, thermostats, doorbells, and buzzers.
Repair locks, make keys and provide secure facility and property.
Assist a skilled trades person on major projects.
Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position.

Working knowledge of, and ability to use skills in, carpentry, masonry, plumbing and electrical repairs.
Ability to read and follow instructions and to handle simple mathematical problems per the mentioned duties above.
Ability to determine malfunctions of electrical and mechanical equipment and make simple repairs.
Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics.
Ability to set tile, finish concrete and plaster and to do tuck pointing.
Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.
Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.

Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
