Street Maintenance Worker 2871 North Morton Street, Franklin, IN 46131 $25.96 an hour - Full-time $25.96 an hour - Full-time Overview Join the City of Franklin as a Street Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in keeping our community safe, accessible, and well-maintained. We are looking for someone who has their CDL plus knows how to perform a variety of duties that help maintan city streets and right of ways. Some of the responsibilities of street maintenance include cleaning out catch basins, fixing curbs and sidewalks, maintaining storm drains, street sweeping, tree inventory, signage, brush removal and snow removal. The best candidate will have experience in the above areas including the use of a chain saw. This position needs a candidate who has their CDL to operate heavy equipment and pull trailers as needed. Responsibilities Maintenance work:
Includes repairing sidewalk and street surfaces with asphalt, concrete or stone using equipment not limited to loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to perform street repairs, paving, and construction projects. Maintaining storm drains and catch basins.
Snow Removal:
Pretreating and snow removal of street surfaces as required by weather events.
Street cleaning:
Debris removal, and pothole repairs to maintain safe roadways.
Trees and debris:
Must participate in chipping of brush, limbs and leafing operation. Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety standards. The above is not an exhaustive list. Must have physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions for extended periods. Must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a criminal background check.
