Job Description

Position Summary Varsity Zone HVAC is seeking a motivated HVAC Maintenance Technician / Install Helper to assist with residential HVAC maintenance, service, and installation projects. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their HVAC career while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment and customer service practices. Primary ResponsibilitiesHVAC Maintenance Perform seasonal maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems. Clean and inspect furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality equipment. Check refrigerant levels, electrical components, airflow, and system performance. Replace filters and perform preventative maintenance tasks. Document findings and communicate recommendations to customers and management. Maintain company standards for safety, cleanliness, and professionalism. Installation Assistance Assist lead installers with HVAC system replacements and new installations. Load, unload, and transport equipment, materials, and tools. Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and accessories. Assist with equipment startup and testing procedures. Maintain clean job sites and perform final cleanup upon project completion. Follow installation procedures and manufacturer specifications. General Duties Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance. Accurately complete job documentation using company software and mobile devices. Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Participate in training and ongoing professional development. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order. Assist with warehouse organization and inventory as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. HVAC experience preferred EPA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to learn HVAC systems and basic troubleshooting techniques. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with tools for extended periods. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
