Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Grounds Maintenance Laborer and play a vital role in keeping outdoor spaces vibrant, safe, and inviting! In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for maintaining landscapes, performing lawn care, and ensuring the overall health and appearance of various outdoor areas. Your work will directly contribute to creating beautiful environments that everyone can enjoy. Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain lawns and gardens Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep turf healthy and lush Conduct landscape maintenance activities like planting, pruning, tree trimming, shrubbery care, and mulch application Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and seasonal adjustments to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns Use excavators and other construction machinery for hardscape projects such as pathways or retaining walls when needed Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep walkways clear and safe for pedestrians Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment regularly and following proper procedures during all landscaping activities Experience Two year's experience in landscape maintenance is required Mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment, power tools, and basic maintenance tasks is advantageous Familiarity with horticulture principles, tree care practices, and irrigation systems will help you excel in this role Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but training will be provided if necessary Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites, landscaping tools, and outdoor work environments Experience working with hand tools and landscaping equipment in various weather conditions demonstrates your adaptability and commitment Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful landscapes!
