Full Job Description Job Summary:

The part time maintenance worker performs the maintenance needs of the agency and groundskeeping in coordination with full time maintenance staff.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. In coordination with full time staff, perform maintenance and upkeep needs of five residential houses and two administrative offices. Perform maintenance and repairs or make recommendations for use of outside contractor. 2. Grounds care for all agency properties including mowing, trimming, watering, and snow removal. 3. Monitor agency properties for safety related issues and repair/correct or make recommendations for outside contractor. 4. Communicate and work with outside contractors as necessary to maintain grounds, houses, and safety standards. 5. Communicate with Administrative and Supervisory staff re: maintenance needs; communicate estimated timelines and any roadblocks to work so that work can be completed within a realistic timeframe.

• Ability to manage resident youth involvement and support in garden
• Attention to detail required to spot maintenance issues before they become bigger problems
• Reliability through regular attendance and conscientious attention to tasks

Minimum:

High school diploma or equivalent Be at least 21 years of age Able to pass KBI Background Check Able to pass a

CANIS Check Preferred:

Experience with construction, plumbing, electrical, and other handyman work Experience with landscaping and grounds management Possess a Kansas driver's license with driving record that satisfies the OCS insurer

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
