Job Description

The Equipment Operator works in and around the horse stables, arenas and other active facility areas maintaining the facility. The individual operates equipment such as tractors with various implements to maintain facility for daily use as well as special events.

Mechanical aptitude Experience in repair/maintenance work in outdoor setting Organizational skills w/ ability to prioritize inspect work & guide others with supervisor's instruction
Essential Functions and Duties:
Moves materials such as manure into manure spreader or dump trailer using a tractor and front-end loader. Prepares and maintains arena footing, driveways and other accesses to facility areas using a tractor and implements. Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of all areas of the facility. Assists with assembly and disassembly of structures used for special events. Maintains fences and paddocks. Loads and unloads hay and bedding supplies. Secondary Job Duties Transports horses to sale barn or other facilities in the absence of the equestrian technician. Assists in feeding and watering horses, cleaning stalls and turn-out daily as well as other duties involved in the care of horses. Assists in Loading and maneuvering wheelbarrow with manure and soiled bedding from stall areas to manure stockpile. Full-time position; scheduled within framework of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, may vary according to special events; frequent weekend and evening work; lunch break daily; overtime as required Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
