Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Purchasing/ Inventory/ Maintenance Assistant to join our fast-growing team of professionals. This full-time position will aid in purchasing supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle for the organization, establishing and maintaining par-levels of stock inventory, loading and unloading trucks as needed, and tracking/ scheduling of repairs and maintenance of fleet equipment, vehicles, and tools. The key duties for this position are: aiding of Purchasing Manager with materials for current projects and coordinate the timely delivery of the items to the designated location. Ensure proper supplies are received in a timely fashion. aiding in unloading and loading of deliveries Manage inventory Track all orders Track and schedule repairs and maintenance of fleet equipment, vehicles, and tools Review invoices, cross-check the packing slips against same, and approve the invoice for payment, as applicable. Interact with vendors and suppliers, and resolve any noted invoice discrepancies. Perform cost comparisons related to proposals. Compare prices, verify specifications, delivery dates and other information to facilitate purchasing decisions. Process purchase orders and issues purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve receiving and invoicing problems. Assist with resolving problems related to invoicing and receiving. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
At least two years of purchasing experience/supply chain management obtained in the construction industry is preferred. Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers Strong knowledge of job costing and budgeting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills A teamwork-oriented individual who can also work independently and has excellent interpersonal skills Proven problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to analyze supply needs across multiple job sites Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Hands-on and collaborative with field and office staff
