Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the general maintenance of a busy 122-bed skilled nursing center in Brighton. Responsibilities Assist with the maintenance and general repair of facilities, equipment, and furnishings. Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to maintain the effectiveness of safety systems. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations to maintain a high level of safety and security for residents, staff, visitors, and guests. Collaborate with team members to complete projects and maintain preventative maintenance. Snow removal with a plow and routine maintenance of grounds including parking lots to ensure they are kept in a neat and tidy fashion. Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read and interpret schematics Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred Some training/experience in minor repairs such as electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, etc. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting is an asset. Experience or knowledge in driving a plow Are you legally authorized to work in the USA? Will you in the future require sponsorship?
