Maintenance Person

The Whitney Academy, Inc., is a unique, Joint Commission accredited, residential treatment center, serving adolescent boys with cognitive delays, psychiatric diagnoses and behavior problems. We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance position in one of our Community Residences. Maintenance Person Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:00pm)

Duties Include:

General knowledge of home repair, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry (including sheet rock repair, minor construction, etc.) Assists in the on-going repair and maintenance of all the physical plants and furnishings Assures vehicle maintenance schedules are followed per owner's manual recommendations Maintains compliance with the purchase order system in the purchase of non-stocked parts and supplies Assist with seasonal decorating Assist with groundskeeping duties Must be available/on-call for emergencies as well as shoveling and snow plowing Responsible for following maintenance policies and procedures Other related duties as determined necessary by the

Department Head Requirements:

Maintenance experience is required Must maintain DOT certification Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation RMV and CORI checks are required
