About This Position Mass Audubon is looking for a dedicated seasonal Property Steward to work closely with the Property Managers in the Southeast Region to help manage trails and grounds responsibilities and maintain clean facilities. Responsibilities Assist with the maintenance and repair of sanctuary trails, boardwalks, signage, picnic tables, and program spaces Perform daily general maintenance tasks including cleaning the nature center, and public restrooms; remove rubbish and recycling Assist with general landscaping including weed whacking and mowing Work with the Property Managers to develop weekly work plans to be completed both independently and cooperatively Assist with maintenance of basic equipment such as hand tools and power tools Qualifications At Mass Audubon, our highest priority is finding the best candidate for the job. We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications: Must Haves Excellent reliability and time management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to perform physical work, sometimes outdoors under adverse conditions Ability to walk over rough terrain for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 40 lbs Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others Competency with basic forms of technology including email, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams) Valid driver's license and completion of a driver record check Nice to Haves Carpentry skills, tractor experience, and chainsaw training Prior maintenance and/or construction experience Prior landscaping experience Compensation, Benefits and Perks This position's pay range is $18.00
