Roofing Full Job Description Job Goal:

To maintain the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety, so that full educational use of them may be made at all times

Performance Responsibilities:

1.Performs general maintenance of school buildings and grounds including such work as painting, carpentry, glass cutting and replacement, roofing, landscaping, drainage work, heating and other types of related maintenance and/or custodial work as directed.2.Remains available for emergency maintenance repairs at various school buildings.3.Performs periodic inspections of buildings and grounds. 4.Assist in the ongoing assessment of repair and infrastructure needs.5.Performs any other maintenance/custodial activities as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Business Manager and Head Custodian/Principal.6.Responsible for supervising of the junior maintenance person(s).

Physical Demands:

Sits, Stands, Bends, Kneels, Climbs (stairs/ladders), lifting of medium to heavy equipment and tools, Good sense of balance needed.

Working Conditions:

Some exposure to extreme temperatures (hot/Cold), noise, dust, dirt and areas requiring infection control. Willing to work hours necessary to maintain facility in a safe manner, which may include nights and/or weekends.

Terms of In accordance with the existing Custodial Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Employment:

Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
