Job Description
The Maintenance Worker II ( also know as Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Employee, Maintenance Tech.) is responsible for maintenance of the day program, residential and administrative facilities, as well as grounds of the agency. The Maintenance Worker II supports Maintenance Worker I staff in the successful completion of assigned projects. This job is inclusive of, but not excluded to the following duties: Ensure accurate completion of assigned projects; responsible for all aspects of various jobs to be fully completed within time constraints. Responsible for completing repairs of drywall, damage done to other walls in Residential and Administrative facilities, and other structural repairs as assigned. Ensures accurate completion of Drywall projects to include hanging and finishing. Complete painting projects as assigned. Assist with Special Events and Consumer relocation; inclusive of tasks such as setting up tents at various locations and/ or moving furniture, etc. Assist with groundskeeping at the various Penn-Mar locations; inclusive of tasks such as snow removal, mowing grass, etc. Serve as an onsite coordinator for general maintenance tasks in the absence of Lead Person. Utilize effective time management techniques; meets deadlines and projected project timeline goals. Work with Supervisor to maximize the organization of projects; utilize strong organizational skills to plan self-directed work. Must meet quality and safety standards set forth by Penn Mar. Perform carpentry/construction work to include demolition, rough-in and finish work. Identify and correct escalated electrical and plumbing issues. Troubleshoot maintenance issues in all facilities of the agency. Respond to identified maintenance needs proactively with minimal supervision. Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma/ G.E.D. Three (3) years of maintenance or training labor experience required. Acceptable criminal background. Valid Driver's License with 2 yrs. of consecutive driving experience. Ability to pass pre-employment Drug Screen/ Physical/ Mantoux Test (PPD, TB).
