Job Description

Company Overview Heaven Sent Early Learning Center is a vibrant and caring environment where children learn, play, and grow. Job Summary Heaven Sent Early Learning Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility clean, safe, organized, and well-maintained for our children, families, and staff. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in maintaining a beautiful facility, and notices the little details that help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.

  • 7:00 or 1:30pm
  • 6:30 PM (25 hours per week)
  • Pay:
  • $20•22 per hour, depending on experience Job Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all classroom bathrooms daily.
Clean and sanitize staff and visitor restrooms. Clean and maintain the staff break room. Sweep and mop all hallways, common areas, and the center's floors daily. Empty trash throughout the building and replace trash liners. Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other restroom supplies. Keep the parking lot, sidewalks, entrances, and playground free of litter and debris. Hang classroom decorations, bulletin boards, artwork, shelving, and signage as needed. Assist with moving furniture and organizing classrooms or storage areas. Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, assembling furniture, tightening loose fixtures, and completing minor repairs. Assist with setting up and breaking down for school events and special activities as needed. Report maintenance concerns to management promptly. Complete other facility-related duties as assigned.

  • Classroom teachers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining their own classrooms.
This position focuses on the building's shared spaces, classroom bathrooms, facility maintenance, and the center's overall appearance. Qualifications Previous custodial, maintenance, housekeeping, or facilities experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and attention to detail.
