Positions may focus primarily on groundskeeping, maintenance, or a combination of both based on experience, skills, and operational needs.

serving Lincoln Consolidated School District in Ypsilanti, MI What You'll Do Grounds Maintenance Perform year-round grounds maintenance and landscaping duties, including mowing, mulching, planting flowers, and maintaining landscape beds. Trim and maintain shrubs, trees, and other vegetation. Remove snow, shovel walkways, and apply salt to maintain safe conditions. Perform athletic field maintenance, including dragging fields and lining fields. Assist with event setup and teardown. Support custodial and maintenance teams as needed. Perform light, non-skilled maintenance tasks. Facility Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility. Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner. Assist with HVAC inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Support maintenance of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Perform basic building repairs, including filter changes, light fixture replacement, and minor equipment repairs. Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Accurately document completed maintenance activities. Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance activities as needed. Qualifications Previous HVAC experience or vocational training preferred. Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in various weather conditions. Reliable attendance and a dependable work ethic. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Operating both district owned and personal vehicles. Mileage reimbursement and paid drive time may apply when using a personal vehicle.
