Full Job Description Title:
HOUSING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / LABORER
General Summary :
The primary responsibility of the Housing Maintenance Technician is to perform all duties for maintenance of the non-profit affordable housing agency's six properties. This position will assist with maintenance repairs, grounds upkeep, preparation for applicable inspections, and apartment turnover as applicable. This position is part of the enhanced property management services provided to the MAP tenants and reports directly to the Property Manager.
Responsibilities:
Complete maintenance and all repair for all properties Maintain common areas, exterior grounds, and landscaping Performs preventive maintenance on applicable building systems and equipment Utilizes company work order procedures Preparation for all inspections Apartment/room turn-over, including but not limited to drywall repair, painting, replacing blinds, floor repair, lock changes, and other minor repairs Communicate with the Housing Supportive Services providers to ensure enhanced management of all programs Special projects Regular and routine attendance as scheduled Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) All other duties as assigned
Salary Range:
$19-$24/hr.
Status:
Part Time Permanent At least 2 years in general maintenance, facilities, or related fields (required) Experience working in the property management industry is a plus
Knowledge of:
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems Use of tools and equipment Knowledge of preventative maintenance Familiarity with safety practices Awareness of building codes and compliance Knowledge of how to maintain confidentiality with tenant records complying with legal and ethical standards Knowledge of how to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with tenants
Additional Requirements :
Must have an insured vehicle and valid driver's license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, sit and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to pass a background check.
