Assistant Shop Maintenance

Summary Maintains cleanliness, safety and functionality of interior and exterior of building. Position requires a combination of cleaning expertise, minor maintenance skills, and attention to detail, making it essential for the comfort and safety of employees, clients, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cleans and sanitizes

• sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, steam cleans floors, dusting surfaces, washing windows and mirrors and wiping down equipment and furniture in all areas of the building. Restroom maintenance
• cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restrooms with paper products, soap, and air fresheners. Waste management
• empties trash and recycling bins, removing debris, and ensuring proper disposal. Clean trash bins as needed. Outdoor tasks
• plants flowers, maintains flower beds, sweeps walkways, clears snow/leaves from entrances.

Salts walkways, cleans picnic tables and smoking area. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Works with supervisor on restocking said items. Weighs and removes recyclables from shipping. Removes scrap carbide within the facility. Completes maintenance check sheets Conducts minor repairs and inspections

• replacing light bulbs, repairing doors or windows, inspects utilities like smoke detectors and HVAC systems, and cleans machine coolant tank.
