Full Job Description Summary:

Join BATA Plastics as a Maintenance Assistant and play a key role in keeping our equipment and facility running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role supports repairs, preventive maintenance, and daily operations across the plant. 1st Shift Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and equipment repairs Conduct preventive and routine maintenance on machines and the facility Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Assist with equipment installation and facility upkeep Complete work orders and track repairs, parts, and tools Maintain the maintenance area and organize tools and supplies Inspect equipment and identify issues before breakdowns occur Perform basic fabrication (grinding, cutting, welding as needed) Assist with blade, cutter, anvil, and equipment part changes Coordinate with outside contractors when needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and company policies Support team members and assist with training as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Mechanical experience or strong mechanical aptitude required Ability to use hand and power tools Willingness to learn (training provided) Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:
