Landscape Maintenance Worker

Overview Join our landscape maintenance team as a Landscape Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating and preserving beautiful outdoor environments. Duties Maintain gardens by weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and applying horticultural practices. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools including trimmers and blowers to carry out landscape tasks efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance activities like planting perennials/shrubs/B&B trees, mulching beds, and installing or repairing landscape lighting. Help on larger landscaping projects or hardscape installation like patios or walkways. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to keep them in optimal condition. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners. Basic mechanical knowledge helps with troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance on power tools and machinery. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including tree care, horticulture principles, and hardscape installation is advantageous. Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn trimmers, blowers, and skid steers is beneficial. Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites or outdoor work environments is beneficial. Strong physical stamina is essential for performing outdoor tasks that involve lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
