Job Description

Position Overview Cameron Regional Medical Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will help ensure our hospital, clinics, and grounds remain safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and employees. This position offers a variety of responsibilities, from building repairs and preventative maintenance to groundskeeping and seasonal projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues as needed. Maintain hospital grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, watering, and general lawn care. Assist with landscaping projects, including planting, pruning, mulching, and seasonal cleanup. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and groundskeeping tasks. Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper operation to support healthy landscaping. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances to maintain safe access during winter weather. Perform tree trimming and removal activities when necessary to maintain safety and appearance. Assist with facility improvement projects, moving equipment, and setting up for special events. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all hospital safety policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping, or construction experience preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance. Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Knowledge of landscaping, lawn care, irrigation systems, and snow removal practices. Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility systems efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
