Summer Maintenance Worker (Traffic Department)

PM Position Summary:

Assist with the maintenance of City traffic infrastructure in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This position supports roadway operations, signage, and pavement marking to help ensure safe travel for the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general labor tasks including traffic sign installation and repair, pavement marking, curb and street painting, and related roadway maintenance Assist with setup and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage Operate, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times Work safely in and around roadways and active traffic; follow traffic control plans and remain constantly aware of surroundings Communicate project progress and status to supervisors in a timely manner Interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner Complete assignments accurately and within established timelines Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and temperature extremes Regular exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, fumes, and safety hazards Occasional work at heights and in confined or low-light spaces Work sites may vary and require accessibility across different locations

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 75 lbs Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to maintain balance and body control in active work environments Applicant Tracking Software by
