Job Description

Assist the Chief Engineer in:
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Keep all equipment clean, fully functional, and in top-notch condition.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs completed.
  • Swiftly respond to and complete minor repair work orders as they arise.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment by following company and departmental safety protocols.
  • Provide professional, positive, and prompt service to guests' needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent coverage and rapid guest service.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards and expectations.
  • Report any missing hotel property or damages to the department manager.
  • Accomplish other miscellaneous tasks as requested by hotel management.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have a valid NC Driver's License
  • Minimum 1 year of prior hotel/apartment maintenance experience.
  • Be on-call for emergency and/or evening problems as scheduled
  • Customer service experience required, preference given to those with hotel or related customer-facing experience.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift as needed.
  • Reliable availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for guest interactions.
  • Quick learning and adeptness in a fast-paced role with constant guest engagement.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older.
