This role is essential in helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Maintenance Director to support routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in their work. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with general maintenance tasks including repairs, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical work Support the facility's preventive maintenance program Help ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are properly maintained Perform routine inspections of work areas, storage rooms, and equipment Assist with upkeep of utility and janitorial areas to ensure cleanliness and organization Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Work collaboratively with other departments to support facility needs Assist with preparing for and maintaining compliance during facility inspections and surveys Ensure outside vendors and service providers complete work as expected
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or facility setting Basic knowledge of building systems, repairs, and tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening
