Property Maintenance and Light Construction/Carpentry Skills for Historic Properties Non-Profit We are looking for a reliable and friendly Property Maintenance professional to join the Historic Salisbury Foundation team in Salisbury, NC. Be part of a community that cares about preserving the historic fabric of Rowan County, North Carolina! As an integral member of our 52 year-old organization you will help maintain and save historic properties. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of two historic landmark properties and will also assist the Project Manager with restoration and stabilization efforts of other properties purchased and sold by HSF. This is a part-time position with approximately 30 hours/week (hours are flexible and a schedule can be set up any time between 8AM

• 5PM, Monday
• Saturday and coordinated depending on current projects). On occasion, there will be weekend work required (some Saturdays and the full second weekend of October for our largest fundraiser, OctoberTour
• a historic home tour).

Duties and Responsibilities Inspect all properties owned by the Foundation and give notes of any damage or maintenance problems to the Executive Director Will perform routine maintenance repairs to Foundation properties and also properties that are being marketed for sale (light plumbing, light mechanical, patch drywall, replace wood trim, demo, etc., touch up paint, some landscaping duties such as trimming bushes, power washing, etc. Responsible for making sure Foundation properties are clean and functional (we employee outside vendors for lawn care and housekeeping) Oversee the Foundation's architectural salvage warehouse (open to the public for retail on Saturdays

• supported by staff and volunteers): pick up donations, organize, clean, and price items for sale Perform duties associated with preparation of special events (table/chair set-up, etc.

) Consult with Executive Director about all costs for repairs and maintenance Maintain accurate maintenance service schedules and records Ensure maintenance supplies are in stock Salvage materials from historic properties (will work with staff and volunteers) Reports to the Executive Director Requirements Good overall knowledge of property maintenance Good time-management skills This is a very physical position

• must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to multi-task and displays initiative A team player who enjoys working with others Critical-thinker and problem-solver Use of personal vehicle for Foundation business that is capable of hauling salvaged items, moving tables, etc.
