Job Description Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping facilities, equipment, and outdoor spaces in top condition? The City of Dickinson is looking for a dedicated Buildings & Grounds Operator to help maintain and enhance our community spaces. Why Join Us? Pay:
$24.24 - $26.76 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, plus a rotating on-call schedule
What You'll Do:
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems Apply chemicals for vector and weed control programs Maintain City cemeteries and public properties Operate heavy equipment for groundskeeping and snow removal Complete routine and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment Assist in training new and seasonal team members Participate in on-call rotation as needed
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED Two years of buildings or grounds maintenance experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Requirements (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire): Valid driver's license ND Class B CDL (permit within 3 months; full CDL within 6 months, with air brakes and automatic transmission) Vector Control Certification (Public Health) Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (Ground Core, Right of Way, Ornamental Turf)
