We are looking for a General Maintenance Worker II. This position is based on 40 hours per week and will perform various operational and maintenance duties as well as repair and construction activities for the city streets, parks, and utilities. Employee may be required to perform duties on an on-call basis, as needed. Applicant must possess a valid driver's license, and a valid Commercial Driver License (Class B CDL) Is preferred. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some of these duties could include but are not limited too: Assisting in the maintenance and repair of the city streets, painting curbs, crosswalks, signs, posts and street lines, and setting up barricades and directing traffic as needed. Assisting in the maintenance and repair of the city water/wastewater systems for both preventative and proper corrective maintenance. Assisting with upkeep of all city buildings and general maintenance and repair duties. Assisting in the upkeep and maintenance of the city parks, facilities, athletic fields and recreational areas through the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds surrounding city buildings, in parks, and other areas through various activities.
