Job Description

The City of Sidney is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the position of Maintenance Worker in the parks Department. Must be motivated, dependable and hardworking. The Maintenance worker reports to the Parks Superintendent for daily assignments.
Required Duties:
  • Lawn care of all park grounds
  • Tree care of park trees and trail trees
  • Maintain ball fields
  • Maintain restrooms in park
  • Maintain flood ditch- mow, trim, level pack
  • Debris removal after storms
  • Snow removal of City sidewalks
  • Adhere to and follow established policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements Must have High School Diploma or GED 18 years of age or older Additional Information Typically work 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday with a ½ hour lunch period; however, must be able to work more than 40 hours, if needed, including weekends.
