JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for maintenance and custodial duties in various City buildings. Duties include routine maintenance, minor repairs, maintains inventory of supplies, office fit-ups and custodial. Position also monitors HVAC controls, performs building and safety checks, grounds maintenance, basic electrical/carpentry/plumbing upkeep and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, is part of the UAW Clerical/Technical Bargaining Unit and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 6, with an hourly rate not to exceed $27.5630.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or certified equivalent Minimum of one-year relevant work experience in maintenance related field Ability to develop a working knowledge of the various HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other maintenance systems Must possess a valid operator license and an acceptable driver's record
