Job Description

Essential Job Duties:
Satisfy service requests per work order, following company procedures. Perform diagnosis and repairs of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring and lighting. Perform make-ready repairs for new occupancy: Paint, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical fixtures, repair or replace old faulty parts; checks locks, replace burned out light bulbs. Preventative maintenance as needed in property units: Change batteries, filters, light bulbs. Make regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and major equipment. Check & maintain appearance and cleanliness of property on daily basis. (Trash pick-up/cleaning) Lawn care & snow removal are subcontracted out. Emergency Maintenance - On call nights/weekends/holidays for after hour emergencies. Overtime pay shall apply.
Ideal candidate should possess:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Tools necessary to perform standard handyman tasks. Ability to climb up and down stairs with ease and lift/carry objects up to 50 lbs. Good verbal and communication skills. Ability to provide direct, clear, and professional communication with residents and managers.
Requirements:
Pass full background check and drug test. Preferred 2-5 years maintenance experience. Familiarity with electricity, plumbing and carpentry. Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances. Good safety habits. Ability to work in a general office environment as well as outdoor environment. Possible exposure to weather—heat, wet, cold, wind, and noise. May be required to perform repetitious movements for long periods of time in order to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, climb, crouch, reach, handle, see, hear and talk.
