Public Works Maintenance Laborer

Hopewell Township Public Works Maintenance Laborer Hopewell Township is accepting applications for a part-time position in the Public Works Department up to 28 hours per week

Education & Experience:

Position requires a High School Graduate or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record. CDL license is a plus.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Skills, & Abilities:

Primary duties are the operation of Township Convenience Center; specifically, 10-hour days on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the Convenience Center is open to the residents Duties may require frequent bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Ability to work in various weather conditions Attend and participate in regular safety training sessions Individual should have basic computer skills Candidate should have good people skills, be self-motivated., and have leadership abilities Ability to read and follow written instructions, and write short responses The other 8 hours will be designated at the discretion of the Public Works Foreman but will include and is not limited to the following tasks: Maintain township streets, stormwater systems, municipal sewer systems, public buildings and grounds, Be able to operate and service township vehicles and equipment. Ability to perform general duties such as mowing, chipping, snow removal Background check and drug testing is required for employment. Maybe subjected to motor vehicle report.

$17 - $20 per hour, commensurate with experience
