In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks across our premises. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a professional and hygienic space while developing valuable skills in facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies to maintain cleanliness standards. Carry out floor care tasks including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve the appearance and safety of flooring surfaces. Assist with general facilities maintenance such as repairing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and reporting repair needs to management promptly. Support industrial cleaning projects when required, utilizing specialized equipment for large-scale or high-traffic areas. Provide residential painting touch-ups or minor repairs as needed to uphold facility aesthetics. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures is a plus. Knowledge of basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently while handling cleaning chemicals and maintenance tools.
