Porter/Maintenance Worker

Job Overview Braddock Park West is a new luxury residential development in North Bergen, NJ. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Porter to support the daily cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of the property. The Porter plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests. This position is responsible for cleaning common areas, assisting with building upkeep, and supporting the maintenance and management team. Key Responsibilities Cleaning & Maintenance Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, amenity spaces, and restrooms Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust regularly Clean glass surfaces, doors, and windows in common areas Remove trash and recycling from designated areas and ensure proper disposal Keep trash rooms, compactor areas, and recycling areas clean and organized Building Upkeep Perform routine inspections of common areas and report maintenance issues Assist with minor maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor Ensure supplies (paper products, soap, etc.) are stocked in common areas Maintain exterior cleanliness including sidewalks, entryways, and surrounding areas Move-In / Operational Support Assist with move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and protecting surfaces as needed Help coordinate deliveries and large item handling when required Support the team with event setup/cleanup in amenity spaces Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures and building policies Report hazards, damages, or unsafe conditions immediately Ensure walkways and exits remain clear and accessible General Duties Work closely with maintenance, concierge, and management teams Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with residents and staff Perform additional duties as assigned to support building operations Qualifications Prior experience in janitorial, porter, maintenance, or similar role preferred Strong attention to detail and work ethic Ability to work independently and follow directions Reliable and punctual Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Physical and Environmental Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing (stairs/ladders as needed) Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Soft Skills and Competencies Strong work ethic and reliability Attention to detail Team-oriented mindset Time management and efficiency Basic communication skills

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
