This position ensures all facilities and grounds meet GMP, OSHA, FDA, and company standards while providing a professional and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all buildings and surrounding grounds, including indoor and outdoor custodial services. Respond promptly to janitorial emergencies such as spills, safety hazards, or urgent cleaning needs. Clean and disinfect restrooms and bathroom facilities, including walls, stalls, toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, fixtures, windows, and dispensers, using a designated checklist to verify conditions. Restock restroom and facility supplies as needed. Sweep, mop, disinfect, buff, and wax floors as required. Operate carpet cleaning equipment, including shampooing and bonnet cleaning machines. Collect and properly dispose of trash and debris. Post and maintain appropriate safety signage such as "Caution," "Wet Floor," or "Hazard" signs during cleaning activities and remove them when no longer needed. Interact professionally with building occupants and visitors. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, GMP, OSHA, FDA, and Sombra policies without exception. Maintain accurate records of janitorial services performed and prepare reports for management as required. Track inventory of cleaning supplies and submit replenishment requests to management. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and track vehicle maintenance needs. Participate in emergency management or response activities as required to meet company or contract obligations. Perform additional duties as assigned. • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Detail-oriented and thorough. Ability to keep the property clean and orderly. Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property. Prioritization and time management skills. Work quickly without compromising quality of work.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of six months of custodial experience involving the cleaning and maintenance of building interiors. Valid New Mexico driver's license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license. Must pass a background check applicable to the position. Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times per day. Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day. Ability to follow all GMP, OSHA, FDA, and company policies consistently. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Employment Terms:
