Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician Assistant in the thriving cannabis industry! Key Responsibilities:
Assist with routine maintenance tasks across the manufacturing facility, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Support troubleshooting efforts using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify issues with equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, and hydraulic machinery. Operate precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess equipment performance and identify faults. Help perform preventive maintenance on critical systems including HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), low voltage electrical components, and high voltage circuits. Assist licensed Maintenance Technicians in routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HVAC, lighting, irrigation, electrical, plumbing, and cultivation equipment. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision. Support the upkeep of facility infrastructure, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement. Help with inventory management of maintenance supplies and tools. Follow safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the facility. Document maintenance activities and report issues promptly to supervisors. Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for cultivation, packaging, and retail areas as needed. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in facilities maintenance, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Experience in regulated or industrial environments is advantageous. Must maintain eligibility to work within the New Mexico cannabis industry.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit occasionally. Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds safely and properly. Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment..
Work Environment:
The role involves exposure to cannabis and working in various areas of the facility, including cultivation and processing zones. Adherence to strict safety and security protocols is essential.
Shift:
8-hour shift with 30 min lunch Monday•Friday 7:00•3:30 PM Holidays Open 365 days a year
