THE POSITION
The Clark County Administrative Services Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Part-Time Management Assistant (Community Events). This role will assist in setting up, operating, and breaking down community events. This position may also provide difficult, technical, complex or specialized office support to various County and related local government offices. The Part-Time Management Assistant ensures compliance with regulations and County standards. Other duties might include performing data entry, record management, file monitoring, contract support, and creation of summary reports that need distribution across various internal units and external departments. Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment. Part-time hourly employees are used to fill positions normally less than twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees do not receive benefits. Departments will notify candidates who are selected for an interview. Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year full-time experience setting up, tearing down or overseeing conventions or events, or related experience. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Background Investigation:
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing:
Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
Certification:
Possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license, forklift certification, and/or mobile stage certifications preferred for some positions. Certification training may be provided at a later date.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Demonstrate professionalism and good customer service when dealing with clients and the public. Handle equipment with care and ensure proper use/storage. Function as a Stagehand, Deckhand, or Stage Manager. Pick up, transport, and deliver equipment and supplies between various storage locations and event sites. Set up/Tear down of tables, chairs, tents, barricade, signage, staging, trash cans, etc. Perform set building, rigging, or construction. Maintain knowledge and understanding of technical and theatrical terminology. Have a general understanding of OSHA codes pertaining to general workplace safety. Withstand varying levels of noise, heat, and smoke. Effectively and efficiently move around work area with complete mobility, such as, balancing, bending, carrying, climbing, crawling, reaching, squatting, twisting. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds. Operate golf carts and oversized motor vehicles while towing enclosed trailer, flatbed trailer, mobile stage, etc. May be required to perform tasks outside of specific scope of work as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in cold, hot, noisy, smoky, damp, dimly lit, or illuminated environments. Ability to climb stairs, and carry and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds with proper equipment. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work for long or late shifts.
Working Conditions:
