General Maintenance Worker

Fingerlakes Mall is looking for a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to help maintain the mall's facilities and grounds. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for our tenants, visitors, and event guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting. Conduct routine inspections of mall facilities to identify and address maintenance issues. Assist with event setups, including moving furniture, assembling/disassembling temporary structures, and handling minor repairs. Respond to maintenance requests from management and tenants in a timely manner. Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and exterior upkeep. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promptly report any hazards. Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in general maintenance, facility upkeep, or a related field is preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs independently. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and handle repetitive tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
