Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Support / Superintendent's Helper to assist with the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of residential commercial properties. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to perform a variety of maintenance and support tasks under the direction of the Building Superintendent or Property Manager.
Responsibilities:
Assist the superintendent with daily building operations and maintenance tasks Perform basic repairs, including painting, minor plumbing, light electrical work, and general handyman duties Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, stairwells, and outdoor spaces Help with trash removal, recycling, and bulk disposal management Assist with apartment turnovers and preparation of vacant units Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Monitor building supplies and report maintenance issues or safety concerns Assist with snow removal, salting, and seasonal property maintenance when necessary Help maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in an organized condition Follow all safety procedures and building regulations
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance, porter, custodian, or handyman experience preferred Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair work Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor Good communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation and punctuality preferred High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
Work Environment:
Residential and/or commercial property setting Indoor and outdoor work required May require evenings, weekends, or emergency response availability
Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
