Job Description

Company Conformance Statements In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, repairs and general upkeep of the facilities, equipment and grounds to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Daily Terminal clean up as required to include other facilities on the pipeline.
  • Painting as required.
  • Rupture Pin replacement as required.
  • Relief Valve Change outs.
  • Main Line Valve exercising.
  • Snow Removal as needed inside of the dikes and fence line. Heavy snow may still require contractor assistance.
  • Mowing and weed whacking as required flats only. Dike walls will still need to be contracted out. (Specialized equipment required)
  • Repair or replace vent pipes and line markers.
  • Assist on pipeline repairs. (Installing clock springs, coating repairs, uncovering pipe).
  • Winterization of items on the terminals and pipeline.
  • Small building and grounds repair projects.
  • Assist with other URC Maintenance task such as replacing pumps, motors, valves, meters, ECT.
  • Assist URC Maintenance with pig launch, and recovery.
  • Qualify as pipeline operator.
  • Change oil and drain casings as required.
  • Preventive maintenance program to include cleaning of meter baskets, changing pressure gauges, changing oil, and lubricating motors.
  • Servicing flow improver trailers as needed.
  • Inventories- Assist auditors with periodic inventories as needed.
  • Office cleaning which is currently done by an outside contractor.
  • Assist with truck offloading as required.
  • Other duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic mechanical knowledge Programs/Equipment Used Windows based PC Tractor, pickup truck with plow, snowblower, etc.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
Office Outside Works in outdoor conditions 30%-50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to position self on ground to complete maintenance tasks

$17.69 - $30.19 per hour
