Maintenance Worker

Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) is a not-for-profit agency providing quality educational and therapeutic services to young children with disabilities. Our Facilities are located in Syosset, NY, Levittown, NY and East Northport, NY. Our school operates 12 months/year. We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker at our East Northport site . This is a Benefits Eligible position.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 2:00 pm-10:00 pm

Qualifications:

We require a minimum of a High school Diploma or GED.

Essential Functions:

1. General maintenance work includes painting, repair, assembly and movement of furniture, minor plumbing repairs. 2. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks as requested including, but are not limited to, sweeping, scrubbing, moping, washing walls, windows, and floors, dusting, emptying of wastebaskets, disposition of rubbish and other cleaning duties as requested. 3. Replace light bulbs, towels, soap, and other supplies. 4. Snow removal. Variety contracts with an outside service for snow removal; however you may be required to clear pathways and/or dispense salt/sand on sidewalks and in the parking lots 5. May cut grass, trim shrubbery, rake leaves, etc. 6. Perform such other tasks as may seem to be appropriate and requested by the Building & Maintenance Supervisor, and/or CEO/CFO.

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
