Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic facilities team as a Property Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of maintenance tasks, from electrical repairs to plumbing, painting, and equipment troubleshooting. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of property upkeep, responding promptly to maintenance requests, and supervising maintenance projects to ensure they are completed efficiently and safely. Your proactive approach will help create a comfortable, safe environment for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues using mechanical knowledge. Conduct residential painting projects to maintain property aesthetics and curb appeal. Lead small maintenance teams or supervise external contractors during repair or renovation projects. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance tasks. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using testing tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in welding, plumbing, carpentry, tile work, drywall installation and residential painting techniques. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams or projects. Excellent customer service skills to address resident or tenant requests professionally. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
